As part of its online capacity development and stakeholder facilitation work, FAO is organizing a 3-week long online learning event to strengthen agricultural practitioners’ knowledge of practical means how climate change can be effectively communicated with food producers.
With the developed capacity and peer support through the online community of practice, the practitioners will be better able to guide and design advisory services that support farmers, fishers and forester to get prepared for climate change and to address it in their work for ensuring food security.
The 2 webinars and online discussion will take place from 29/11/2016 to 15/12/2016.

The event is targeted to practitioners of rural advisory services, but it is open and free for all. The link to the webinars will be shared with enrolled participants with a matching profile to the event's objectives.
Participants include over 3 200 practitioners from 130 countries currently members of the online Community of practice “Agriculture sectors and climate change”.
The event consists of 2 webinars with expert presentations and discussion, combined with a facilitated e-mail discussion through the online community.
