Ruth Mackenzie is Senior Lecturer in International Law at the Department of Advanced Legal Studies, University of Westminster. Prior to joining Westminster in 2009, Ruth was Principal Research Fellow in the Faculty of Laws, University College London and, until 2003, director of the Biodiversity and Marine Resources Programme at the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development (FIELD) in London. She is a member of the IUCN Environmental Law Commission and the International Law Association Committee on International Law and Biotechnology.
