Summary:The primary goal of this proposed Program is to engage the IAP and its Member Academies in strengthening their own scientific and technical (S&T) capacity as well as in developing countries and transitional economies by enhancing access to and use of digital knowledge and the related infrastructure. The two major areas of focus under this Program—access to and use of (1) digital S&T data and information, and (2) digital networks and infrastructure for research and education—require sustained attention from the IAP and its Member Academies, in collaboration with other organizations working in these domains, at the international, regional, and national levels.
