IAP provides funding for projects that impact science globally. Some of these projects are grouped into major IAP programme areas, such as: science education, biosecurity, water, science communication, women in science, young scientists and the activities of the IAP Affiliated Networks.

Academy of Sciences of Guatemala, in partnership with the Academia de Ciencias Fisicas, Matematicas y Naturales de Venezuela and the Nicaraguan Academy of Sciences (ACN), this project will establish a working group on surface water management for the region to share research findings and national experiences and share methodologies and technologies used.
