Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences of Spain - The InterAcademy Panel on International Issues

The Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales was established in 1847. The academy is organized into 3 sections: exact, chemical and physical, and natural sciences.

In order to facilitate the functioning of the academy, various commissions have been created with specific objectives. These include: publications and library; scientific terminology; history of science; policy for science; science teaching. Current membership stands at 42 academicians and 60 national correspondents.
